Hello Jeffrey

In new Chronojump version 0.9.2, we just put a message that clarifies the different Chronopics using.

The message is something like:

All the tests are done always with first Chronopic (is considered main).
The MultiChronopic tests use 1st and the rest of Chronopics if desired and available.

What you want to do is NOT a MultiChronopic, because MultiChronopic means that one test uses more than one Chronopic at the same time.

The best you can do is:
1.- do the jumps with the different athletes (with 50ms)
2.- disconnect the chronopic of 50ms
3.- connect the 10ms (manage it on Chronopic window)
4.- do the run tests

On your version of Chronojump: 0.9.1, you should check that the 10ms Chronopic has been recognised on same port than de 50ms. This is kind of problematic. New version 0.9.2 (release planned for Jun 14 2010) does extra checks to know if your Chronopic is correctly detected, avoiding crash of the software on Chronopic changing.

Thanks for using the forum!

Thanks. But is it possible to use one chronopic attaching different platforms:

e.g.

10 ms connected to a. 2 sets of timing lights
b. 2 platforms for reaction time pads
c. 1 platform505 agility station

You can connect a Chronopic to as much devices as you like. You only need to think that at maximum only one device (platform, photocell) will be in contact at a given time.

If you want to track a test where a person can be in contact at more than one device on the same time, and you want to know the time of each device separately, then you need more than one Chronopic. But this is not usual.

If you have a Chronopic for all, just have in mind that, as you know, runs work better with 10ms and jumps better with 50ms.

All this is better explained in the Manual, but it's still only in spanish yet. There's a girl doing the translation but she needs more time.

Also, doing tests is a slow process that requires to control lots of things: warming up, technique, instrumentation... and this makes that evaluators go slowly and usually there's no mixed tests all together.

I'm not sure if I answered your question. If not, please reply
