But this is not free software, it's freeware. Note freeware means software that you don't need to pay for it, but it's not free software because you cannot collaborate, learn, inspect, modify, it's code.

This kind of freeware, sometimes they are free, sometimes they not. Sometimes they change license, and sometimes it's only a free demo but when you want to use it seriously you need to pay.
