Changes since last version (0.9.1)

New features
  • Added Chronopic-Firmwarecord software: now change Chronopic firmware is really easy.
  • Added new serial-USB driver for windows 7.
  • Improvements on Chronopic connection.
  • If Chronopic is disconnected it's detected when start a new test.
  • Chronopic window is more informative.
  • On person window, height & weight units can be inserted as metric units.
  • Graphs have line width (nice for presentations).
  • Server: Pings are registered by machineID (seed) instead of IP.

Thanks to Juán González and the program PyDownloader that has been adapted to create Chronopic-Firmwarecord, to Carlos J. Gil Bellosta for all the statistics work and to Andoni Morales for all it's efforts on releasing the version.
Hi.. how do we make a report on other tests like running and reaction time? thanks
Hello Jeffrey

You are the first who ask about stats, graphs, report on tests different than jumps.

For next version (normally there's new version every three months) I will develop this for runs (simple and repetitive), except some runs, it's not a difficult task to develop and it's funny.

In the meantime, people use to export is as CSV to spreadsheet (Session / Export). Then import from a spreadsheet like Excel or Open Office, and do graphs there.

I added this task to do here:
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=623147

and also noted what you told me about creating multiple persons at one and decimal weight is not decimal:
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=623146

Every thing you need or you miss, just ask, thanks!
Hi Xavi:

one undergraduate student downloaded the new version on Windows 7. He encountered the following problems:
1. no file for 50 and 10 ms firmware
2. plyo push up test was not available in the software
Hello, the 50ms, 10ms files should be on the folder opened by the chronopic-firmwarecord. Which folder opens?

Can you try to do a "search" on that system to find where is this file? :

chronopic_firmware_50ms.hex

The plyo push up test can be defined as a jump. See Jump / Create new Jump type (on menu). Everybody can define easily it's jumps.
If you think is really interesting, just tell me exactly what you need and I can add it on next release for all users.

Thanks fot the feedback!
Xavi,

when we were using Windows 7.. we experienced "computer hanging" when we administered a 10 m running test (contact platform + timing gate).

Regards,

Jeff
Hello Jeff

Does it happen all the time or sometimes? which % approximately?

Is this failing on Vista or XP?

Can you define more precise the "hanging"? Happens at start of the run, somewhere in the middle...?

Thanks a lot
Hi Xavi:

I have seen this kind of situation, when we were using Windows 7, we experienced "computer hanging" when we administered a 10 m running test (contact platform + timing gate). just sometimes and is failing on XP. Thank you!

Hello Lisa, I'm not sure if you are a spamming bot or If you really found a problem that should be fixed. If you are a real person, we are on 0.9.3 version, please use that.
